In theory IRCC should almost clear the backlog by now and get back to 6 months processing time for most applications... that's in theory.
FSW draws were resumed in July, add on average let's say 4 weeks to gather documents and apply, it means that most of those applications should be completed in February.
Quite a few people got their PPRs within anything between 4 weeks and 3-4 months, so IRCC certainly is moving faster. I think it's not unreasonable to expect processing within around 6 months - some will be quicker, some may take a bit longer, but we're talking about months, not years
