Hi,
I'm working on extending my visit to Canada, while my wife and I arrange our affairs for my PR. I've been visiting with her in Canada.
My residence and job are in America, I have a notarized letter from my employer (American) stating an understanding of my obligations as CTO (consultation, maintenance, training visits), while I'll be away.
" What is your current country/territory of residence? If you are presently in Canada, you should select Canada. "
As I'm currently visiting with my wife for the past few months, and I'd presume it is where my Visa would go...
Do I say I'm in Canada?
Or do I maintain my residence is in America?
It's that little distinction between whether residence means the resident, or the place I'm sleeping for a while
Any other input would also be appreciated, thanks.
--Modified to clarify that I'm visiting as an American, seeking to extend my visit beyond the initial 6 months.
