quite obvious
received application acknowledged by CIC

I think for those who applied recently, as long their applications received by CIC before the new law takes place, they should be treated as 1095 days.

Current applicants might still be affected by this change as it may colour the way CIC, CJs. etc. view your application. They may give it more scrutiny in line with where things are moving. In other words, they may be less likely to give you the benefit of the doubt if there is some question about your application.
