Currency as Proof of Funds?

I see most people asking if they can bring a bank statement instead of cash, but is cash or some sort of money order/traveler's cheque acceptable as proof of funds during landing?

IMO it is very dangerous to travel with cash, but both cash and a traveler's cheque is acceptable. You may also want to look into opening a bank in Canada prior to landing & transferring the money.
