CSQ vs landing date confusion

I got CSQ valid till 2, Jun 19, i have not yet applied for federal. will apply in Jan 19.

I heard that federal process take 8 months, so in 8 months my CSQ gets expired.

Can any one help me will it be ok to land in montreal with expired CSQ ( i mean only on Visa docuemnts, i will carry my CSQ orignal though ) if i am cleared through federal process late.

If the federal reverts back by May 19 with Visa and all then i may fly before 1st Jun 19.

Hope my query is clear. Please advise

i previously thought that i had to apply to federal before CSQ expiry thats all, but read some where that CSQ should be valid when i land in Quebec. little confused with this one.
