Hello folks,

I find these two terms very confusing sometime.
I only know that one is required to work and study and other one is required for permanent residency. Does both require my presence in Quebec in order to apply?

1. Now if am in India and want to work in Canada then which of the two are important? Or is it necessary that I have to be in Quebec to get the work permission to work?

2. Secondly, what and how to apply either of the two so that I can work in Quebec?

thanks in advance.

You can apply for a CAQ or CSQ from abroad if you're eligible. To work temporarily, you need a CAQ. After working in Quebec, you may be able to get a CSQ under the PEQ stream. I assume you speak French.

Getting a job from abroad is not easy as the employer also needs an LMIA from the federal government. Then you apply for the CAQ, and then for a work permit.

So you mean I need CAQ to work in Quebec and I can apply that from here India only? Is it mandatory to have a job offer for CAQ or is it 100% employer's responsibility to get CAQ on my behalf?
