I went through all different discussions, but got all more confused in the ocean of information!! Please help me with my case -
I am currently working in Montreal for past 7-8 months on work permit, working on Canadian client assignment. I am on my home country company payroll. My home country office has applied for my TRV and work permit. I am proficient in French level 1. I already have Quebec Medical card and Montreal driving license.
My work permit application was processed under ICT category, hence, CAQ was not processed.
My queries are -
1) What is ICT category?
2) Please let me know the cost and duration for CSQ process? Does CSQ need any employer approval or employment guarantee? Is the process easier if I apply from Montreal or if I apply from home country?
3) Does CSQ application have any prerequisite of staying in Quebec for 1year before application?
4) Does ICT category work permit help in applying CSQ application?
5) Does CSQ application impact my existing TRV?
6) In order to switch to Canadian company payroll, does new company need to sponsor my visa? How complex is the visa sponsorship process?
7) What is the process and cost to initiate independent TRV on my own (independent of employer) - something similar to H1 visa in US?
8 ) Do I need to apply for CSQ in order to apply for PR?
