Hello Everyone,

Please help me. My CRS Score bumped from 441 to 466 and seems like CIC thinks I have completed two years at my workplace. I checked my profile again and it says I started work in May. Should I apply if I get an ITA in next draw? or wait till completion of two years and then apply. I don't want to reject an ITA if I don't have to. I only have a few months left on my permit

Thanks,

I think, as CIC takes only month and year (for start and end dates).... May to April is considered as an year.

Guys let me know if i am wrong

I agree. I saw the similar behaviour on my express entry profile.

May to April are 12 months, which is why the system has given you points for two years. There is nothing wrong with your profile.

So if I get an ITA I should accept it and go ahead with my documents?

Don't reject, submit application in May.

You have to have exactly 2 years at the time of ITA. The system goes by months only, but the VO will recalculate the EE scores you had at the time of ITA. It's better to wait a little longer (few weeks) than getting rejected months later.

My 2 yr experience was completed in February 2016, but i received ITA in january 2016 and submitted my application on February 25, 2016.

Is this Okay or this might be a cause of rejection?

Now i am scared, my work permit is expiring soon :'(

My Score was also increased before complete the full year, it might be based on hours worked within 12 months.

Don't worry. this is how the system works, It happened to many people. maybe because you are working 40 hours per week and also the date of start of the job is by month not by day.

Zareef is correct. All this misinformation is going to lead to refusals and heartbreak. CIC/IRCC tells you - it is up to YOU to determine whether or not you meet the requirements.

It is not based on "hours worked," unless you are part-time. And while the profile only asks about month and year, the program requirements are based on exact dates (where 1 year = 52 weeks).

If the profile bumps up your score before you have actually completed the 2nd year, then you should wait until you actually deserve the score (and yes, that means declining a premature ITA). A VO will recalculate your points based on exact dates, and if you apply with an ITA dated before you have completed the year, you will lose the extra points; if you no longer qualify after they deduct the points (e.g. if your score falls below the threshold for your draw), your application will be refused.

Now that i have already submitted the application, what should be my next step. should I withdraw/notify CIC/ or what should i do ?
This is how i entered my work experience
Start date Feb 2014- till date
no of hours worked 37.5/week

got score increase as of Dec 29, 2015

Got ITA Jan 06.

What should I do?

Hi. I have a similar situation. Did you face any issues?
