hi,
I had an EE profile which was expired . I made a new profile now, however there is a difference in crs scores as compared to cic crs calculator, my EE profile shows 20 points less which is 357. i have ielts score of W-6,S-7,L-7.5,R-6.5
education is 1)Bachelors in commerce 3 years regular 2007-2010.
2)Post graduate diploma in business administration 2 years 2012-2014.(distance learning)
ECA done for both the degrees.
age is 30
marital status -married but spouse not accompanying.
no canadian work experience no education from canada.

i had doubt in two fields when i filled up the EE profile.
1)i filled part time for my my post graduate diploma distance learning
2)there is no option for this degree of "two or more certificates " so i filled again with bachelors degree".

please anyone help me why there is a difference of 20 points in cic crs calculator and EE profile.it should be 377 however it is showing 357.

"2)there is no option for this degree of "two or more certificates " so i filled again with bachelors degree".

What does that mean? It is possible that an entirely distance education degree was not credited? But you said you had an ECA which satisfies:
Educational credentials
(3) In order for a foreign national to be assigned points under subsection (1),
  • (a) their educational credentials must be Canadian educational credentials; or
  • (b) they must have an educational credential equivalency assessment in respect of their foreign educational credentials issued by an organization or institution designated under subsection 75(4) of the Regulations.
So therefore, you should be eligible:
(vi) 128 points, if the foreign national has two or more post-secondary program credentials and at least one of them was issued at the completion of a post-secondary program of three years or more.

I don't see any reference to part-time study not being acceptable.

Hi,
Thanks for replying however my eca is accepted for distance learning and it says" "two years diploma" means now i have two degree one is for three years and second i have done afterwards which is for two years.so i marked "bachelors degree" in scrolldown. When i made my profile earlier i marked same and my crs was around 377.

Your ECA says Bachelor + diploma. There are more points available for that category than for Bachelors only. You should claim the 128 points. I'm not sure why you would hesitate or choose bachelors degree.

Hi,
Thanks for replying however my eca is accepted for distance learning and it says
" "The postgraduate diploma generally compares to the completion of a university diploma with a focus in business administration and operations"
means now i have two degree one is for three years and second i have done afterwards which is for two years.so i marked "bachelors degree" in scrolldown for it again. When i made my profile earlier i marked same and my crs was around 377.
