If my CRS score will be 458 after taking 1-year master’s program are there any risks having only 1-year PGWP?

Base on the past, the risk is minimal. But no one can say about the future, It is always better to have option B if possible. Having 3 years PGWP will be your option B of completing 1 year CEC if things went wrong in the future. Keep in mind that a 2 years master will be longer and cost more money too. Decision is yours.

I mean, a 3 years PGWP will give you time to find a job and work for one year to gain more points under Canadian Experience Class. That will be another 60 points on top of what you will have, and no proof of fund needed as CEC.

But as you said 2 years master's costs more. Do you think having 458 CRS can be not enough next year?

Should be. Keep in mind that people are also doing the same thing that you are doing. If you are planning to get more points by studying, people also. So make the decision fast and move forward.

As you said other people are also trying to increase point by studying then why the minimum is it around 440 nowadays. Aren't there any graduates applying with Canadian degrees?

okay so it can increase again.
That is the thing about the uncertainty of future, right? We don't know how badly other people want to come to Canada, so we can't predict for sure how much they willing to lose (in term of time and money) to increase their scores.

Anyway, good luck on your path.

That's right. I think I can go for 1 year program and close to my graduation if scores go up i can take another year certificate program maybe so that to study for 2 years and get 3 years PGWP. What do you think?

It sounds good. Aim for the provinces with easy PNP programs. That way you can have a backup plan.

Nah, Ontario is nightmare every time the master stream open for intake it will close after few minutes because the volume of people trying to get in. You can try but don't hope so much on that.
