Dear All,

I am an international student started my full time, in-person classes study program in canada on Jan'20. As you all know, due to COVID like most other universities my classes too are shifted online and thereafter i have been doing courses online only but stayed within canada. I want to know does this situation affect my eligibility to receive CRS points for Canadian Educational credential in PR application?.

I am due to graduate in another 5 months and getting guidance on this issue we really help me to continue studying online or take a break.

Please let me know about your thoughts and references.

Thank you.

To receive the 15 bonus points for studying in Canada, distance learning cannot have been more than half of the program.

Hi Primaprime,

Thank you for your reply....

My Current Situation:
enrolled full time, in-person classes. ONLY DUE TO COVID classes are shifted online and are forced to take online classes only.

Does this current situation falls under "distance learning" category, as mentioned in your reply?

Please share thoughts on this.

Thank You.

Online classes are generally considered to be distance learning. We'll have to see if IRCC formally exempts those whose classes were moved online solely due to COVID, but as of now, there has been no announcement.

Thanks again for your insight.. I hope IRCC exempt us from this policy due to COVID and set things straight ...
