Hi,

Can someone pls confirm on the below query. I tried searching the answer elsewhere but couldn't find it :

Question : Can your Spouse or Common in law partner(who is NOT the principle applicant) get a job offer from Canada?
AND in case he/she does, will that be counted under your total CRS points (under the 600 points additional category)?

I checked the CRS breakup but it doesn't state clearly whether the job offer/provincial nominations can be
received by your Spouse also or not.
Shall appreciate your replies :)

Regards,

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Short answer, No.

Spouse having a job offer/provincial nomination won't add CRS points to the PA. In case of such eventualities, you would then create an EE profile with your spouse as the PA as that would net them 600 additional points (in fact in the case of PNs, the spouse wouldn't even be eligible to apply to the provinces without having an EE profile with them as the PA). Of course, it goes without saying that these 600 additional points would accrue only if that particular job offer is supported by a positive LMIA.
