Friends I really need your urgent help and advice -

I did my BTECH in 2005 and worked for 7 years as a software engineer (NOC 2173, Category 0) and then in 2012 I quit my job and joined a full time MBA, graduating in 2014 and then from last 2 years 9 months working as a procurement manager (NOC 0113, category B), also during MBA I worked for 3 months as an intern (paid, full time in a fortune 50 company). Now I am confused about which NOC to use as primary , bottom line is I really need the full points for CRS (which requires 3 years continuous work experience in same NOC) so was intending to use NOC 2173 as primary, but in the CRS application it says use your most recent experience (within last 5 years) as primary, but if I do that I will not get full point since my most recent NOC (0113) is only 2 years 9 months continuous work experience. Please advise urgently what should I do, I am confused. Thanks.

You will earn crs scores for 3 years of foreign work experience in qualifiying NOCs. Primary and secondary experience are for their own classification and will not harm your score. Use 2.5 years and declare that as primary and then 7 years from past. You still qualify for all the points

Nothing confusing and good luck.

Thanks a lot friend, much appreciated. One last confusion - I read in some posts that if one has to go for provincial nomination then most of the times the provinces come up with their own NOCs that they would consider based on skill shortage. This is creating another Confusion for me - let me explain Lets say for example I chose NOC A as primary and NOC B as secondary for my federal CRS application and do not get federal nomination and have to try to Ontario provincial nomination, and Ontario has NOC B as shortage list but not NOC A, then what can I do? at that point would I be able to modify my CRS application and make NOC B job experience as my primary? Thanks a lot.

I don't have experience with PNP but Provinces indeed look for skill shortage list and invite people of particular skill. I think Ontario invitation is skill shortage as well as overall CRS based (still don't quote me on that). I will say just make profile, and in fact post ITA they count them as experience not as Primary or secondary, but just as experience.

Thanks again, yes agree. The reason I am in doubt (which work ex to use as primary) is the highlighted (in bold) part below. The way I am interpreting this is - if provincial nomination are indeed based on skill set and if the primary occupation will be considered for immigration application, it makes me wonder whether it means that if I have experience in the particular skillset Ontario wants but I make it secondary they will not consider me.

"Primary occupation (4 digit NOC Code) Help
This means the job Prakash --------has experience in and wants to base the immigration application on. This is how we will determine your eligibility for federal programs. You will need to know the job title and the NOC for the primary occupation and for any other jobs you add, as well as for any job offer."
