Sitting at 444 and waiting for OINP to open again!olipearce1987 said:i know its just opinion and but my immigration consultant thinks the score will drop to under 450 end of this year/start of next. obviously know one knows, but promising!
Same here - waiting for OINP to reopen. I'm at 443 and entered the pool only 2 weeks ago. I have 4 years experience (not gained in Canada but FSW). IELTS 9 (native English speaker), 4 year Bachelor Degree (WES Evaluation) and my spouse's qualification is exactly as mine, so I lost no points. I'm also 25.Arslanellahi said:Sitting at 444 and waiting for OINP to open again!

So I guess in order to gain more CRS points I would have to go back to school for a Post Grad or a Masters, That would take me to 470+ points, but that's an additional 2 years and it would deplete my Proof of Funds for a family of 2 (Study is very expensive!). So I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will get nominated, or that the points required for an ITA will go down drastically.
Any suggestions?
You can be a primary applicant and then have your spouse education credentials assessed by WES. That should give you some more points. Furthermore, your spouse can also give IELTS and if she scores good, your points can bump to 460.. Hope this helps!luv2read90 said:Same here - waiting for OINP to reopen. That's the thing though, my spouse and I both had our Bachelors assessed by WES and its equivalent to a Canadian 4 year Bachelors Degree, and we both sat and passed the IELTS and scored 9. So our CRS is 443 maxed out. I'm 25, so my only option is to go in for more education (or receive a PNP nomination).Arslanellahi said:You can be a primary applicant and then have your spouse education credentials assessed by WES. Thanks,
Ahh missed that part. Okay in that case, PNP looks like your only option for now (at least in the short term). Masters is going to take at least 2 good years with lots of money. I would rather go for PNP (Ontario once it opens) or wait for ITA to drop to 440. I know I am being very optimistic for cut off score to get as low as 440, but we can always hopeluv2read90 said:That's the thing though, my spouse and I both had our Bachelors assessed by WES and its equivalent to a Canadian 4 year Bachelors Degree, and we both sat and passed the IELTS and scored 9. Draw back is the cost of education is high especially a Masters Degree, but aside from studying (and mastering French) that's my only option.
I wish we would get a nomination because then i wouldn't have to dip into my POF for more school.. but I guess that's life.
