Hi there,
I applied for canadian study permit on 22 April 2016 at Accra, Ghana but just realized I didn't state my previous USA F1 visa refusal last year with reason being that I don't have ties in my home country Ghana. No biometrics and fingerprints taken for the canada application. Don't know whether they will still get to know of the USA refusal.

I'm a bit disturbed and do not know how this is going to affect my application. Kindly share your views if anyone have such a story of the expected outcome.

Do not be worry now as you can do nothing at this moment. However, you must have apprise them in visa application form. Visa rejection from one embassy or consulate does not mean that you can not qualify for another country. Canadian embassy has its own requirement and vision. However be optimistic as Canadian are far better from rest of world in considering application

Thanks bro. I did upfront medicals and a paper application. Just received an email confirming receipt of my application. But haven't heard from them again. It almost 5weeks now. Thanks for the encouragement. Hoping for approval.

In many cases IRCC officers are doing cross check with US immigration authorities. If Visa Officer founds that you didn't disclose your previous visa refusal, then it may result in your study visa refusal and 5-year ban from entering Canada.
