Criminality took about a month for us
The security check is ongoing since mid-January, my MP told me our application should be finalized by the end of May (15 months total).

I spoke to an immigration consultant who told me as takes up to a year, but I did alot of research in different forums and joined a whatsapp group for ss applicants and they were all completing between 8 to 12 months. 8 being the most common. We have been in ss now since Oct 25

If your in ss since January, I would pray for fast finalization, but don't count on it. Unfortunately Mps only request information and updates on our behalf but they dint actually know the process or processing times of stages. The way I'm thinking of it is preparing myself to be in ss for around 8 months but I'll be glad to be Done sooner. Unfortunately we're already in the 5th month So hoping only 3 more to go!
