Criminality Vs Security check

I spoke with CIC this morning and they said I've passed the Security Check and the Criminality check is in progress. I thought that this was what the schedule A and police clearance certificate were for. How long does this typically take?

With the way this process works now, where am I in the process?

I called 1-888-242-2100.

I chose options 3, 4, 1, 0 and asked to be transferred to the right department. I was on hold about 30 minutes.
