I was told that I passed eligibility, criminality and medical checks. Only security check is outstanding (which hasn't been initiated, btw).
What's the difference between criminality check (I assumed based on the police reports I've provided?) and security check?
While I shouldn't at all have any "security"-related issues (FYI I went to school in the US - studied econ & math and have been working in Hong Kong since graduation in the banking sector with clean records throughout), what will CIC actually check? Would the process take long? I was told by the agent that this security check is "just a generic check as part of your overall background check".
Appreciate insights/answers from people who know or have been thru similar experience.
