I have a friend who is a Canadian Citizen and wants to sponsor his wife to Canada. As I am doing the same thing, he asked me a difficult question in which I could not reply, he was embarrassed to mention anything on forums etc. Well, I would like to ask on his behalf. My friend had a serious charge against him at the age of 13 years old..he did not specify what but since then (over 25 years ago), he has been clean and worked very hard and has a family of his own. Would a serious offence render any complications for approval to sponsoring? I believe after a few years he asked for a pardon..if anyone could help me, so I can put his mind to ease. Thank you.
