Hey all.
A friend of mine will be coming to visit me in October, then later in December/January. She might be driving up, but more likely she'll be taking a bus here.
However, she was charged earlier this year with Disorderly Conduct, given a $200 fine and made to do 25hrs community service. This sentence was completed months ago.
From all the reading/research that I've done, "disorderly conduct" is listed as a summary offense, and it takes 2+ summary convictions to be inadmissible. This was her first and only conviction, so according to what I've read, she would not be inadmissible.
However, I'm still nervous, because I don't know what'll happen if it comes up during a border check. Would the guard send her in for questioning, and Immigration would have to make a decision? Or would the guard see that it's not enough to deny entry, and let her pass?
I also plan to contact CIC with my concerns.
