Good evening,

16 years ago, I've been convicted for Fraud ( two times ):

In 2008 which ended up in a single fraud conviction = a fine of 400 euros.

In 2010 which ended up in a multiple fraud conviction = 8 months on two years probation.

It happened in France, I'm french. Today I'm Attorney and the reason WHY, I have done these things, was my GF, she was pretty ill, so it wasn't possible to pay the bills of the hospital, to cure her, so..... I did those stup** things....

Still a chance to immigrate to Canada????

You can still immigrate but will likely need to go through the rehabilitation process due to your convictions.

You may also want to look into whether you can enter the US. Many of the trucking jobs in Canada require transit through the US as well.

I would love to immigrate to Canada, to work as a truck driver. After the college, just wanted to study, something what have been looking pretty interesting, in that case, Law. Later, just wanted to work in something different, so, now i am a truck driver :)

I heard Canada also take truck drivers without having experience as an Academician? Is that true? My friend, is also truck driver, but he did never go to University.

Is it important, if you have worked as long distance truck driver or short distance truck driver? Which one is more important?

Thank you so much again,

As already noted previous posts indicated that although OP has recently graduate form law school they have no desire to practice law and would like to continue working as a truck driver. Even if truck drivers are not driving a route back and forth to the US many are unaware to drive across Canada typically you go through the US between Manitoba and Ontario save like and money. Believe longhaul trucking is the type of trucking that is really in demand and provides better pay than jobs than short routes. Assume this is partially because most of these truck drivers sacrifice time spent with their family to do their job. Another thing for OP to consider is that routes are much longer in the North America. You can cross Europe fairly quickly while long haul routes can involve you being gone for 5-6 days often.
