hi everyone,

My husband is on Work-permit in canada, an outland ( New Delhi) application for his PR is in process. at the time we submitted the application, He was falsely charged by his employer, but the charges are now dropped. We have e-mailed CHC a letter from our lawyer to prove that the charges are dropped and he has no other charges or convictions. What else should we need to provide to prove it. The ceritified document from court takes more than 6 weeks, and we cant and shouldnt have to wait for that.
and also, Do u think we need to submit the originals or fax/e-mail should be enough? have already spent so much in couriers n all

Please reply

Thanks

as long as a registered lawyer has sent a signed letter-I can't see them holding anything back from proceeding,in time they may ask for an original court document but I would worry about that when they ask for it.Save all the papers you can supporting yourself in case(I would not send any originals though unless they ask the papers to be so)

Thanks for the info :)
IMHO Your spouse will probably have to do an RCMP fingerprint check (do a digital one) as Delhi is not going to accept a letter from a lawyer that the charges were dismissed. They are going to want to see the judgment or the dismissal on the Canadian PCC.

Hi PMM,

Yes u r right, we are going to get a new PCC this weekend , and then courier it by Monday..hopefully this will be a last courier from us to them. Its been such a roller-coaster for us. Just want this thing to be over soon. ( New delhi started working on the application on Feb 25th and then they asked to send in PCC from india and asked if we are planning to visit india soon, and also if there has been any decision made on the case yet, so we have provided PCC from india to them , and now this case is resolved aswell) based on ur experience, Do u know how soon can we expect a letter asking to submit passport after we send the new pcc to them.
its just that i need to book off the time at my work soon.
thanks for ur help
