I was incarcerted and locked up for three months for drug trafficking and then released from prison. This happened 9 years ago and i was never convicted officially and never attended trial and there's nothing on my criminal record. Should i mention anything in my application?

Well if there is no official record does that mean they locked you up without any reason? because if there is even a single word of you being locked up in official logs then you have to mention otherwise you will fail security check.

Honesty i don't know where to find an official reference because the only one that we have access to is the police clearance certificate and my case was never mentioned in these records.

When i was in jail i filed for a release because i thought the charges were harsh and i got it but i was never prosecuted till this day.
What do you think?

The fact that it doesn't show on your police certificate is because you were never convicted.
But you still were arrested/detained, and one of the statutory is about just that.
"Have you ever been arrested....". You'll have to answer "Yes" to that question and will be given an opportunity to explain.
Rest assured that they will find out about it, and if you happen to not mention it, you'll application will be rejected straight away, and banned from Canada for at least 5 years...
