Credits transfer

Hello awsome people!

currently doing bachelors in computer science, i have completed my 2 years and want to complete my remaining 2 years at university of Manitoba.
Is this a good option or should i complete my bachelors here and then apply for the masters in Canada.Also give ur views on for which province the rate of getting a visa is high, BC or Manitoba. Senoirs please, need ur advice. Thank you.

I am in the exact same situation, transferring as an undergraduate in Computer Science to University of Manitoba. I have been admitted very quickly to University of Manitoba, but I have good academics (4.0 GPA with an associate degree from a US community college) and scored 114 on the iBT TOEFL (95%).

I object to the previous message. I think it all depends on your intentions. Are you going to do a Masters anyway? Or just to go to Canada? If you're not after the Masters (like me, not immediately anyway), make sure a good number of your previous/current classes are transferable and apply as a Bachelor if you're eager to go.

UoM seems like a very good institution. Their undergraduate curriculum in Computer Science is wonderfully structured (all the important classes and currents trends in the fields are taught). They have some very well respected teachers, and the administration of the University seems top notch. I have been in constant contact with them for a month (since I got admitted). They're extremely responsive and helpful. I have been able to register for classes, apply for and get campus residence, and claim all my Campus accounts, all from the USA by email and over the phone, while waiting for the Visa, hopefully within a few weeks.

Again, if you have the means and the will to risk losing some credits, interrupt your education and pursue it in a better albeit more expensive educational system, by all means do it.
