Hi all,
I am going to apply for 1 year PG course either in Construction/ Project/ Engineering management Since I cannot find 2 year PG course related to the field in civil Engineering. Now my question is Can I have Credit transfer facility in master course after successful completion of my PG course.
(Possibly applying to Ontario Side for my PG)

Chances are you won't be able to transfer any credits since a PG course is at a much lower level than a Masters. However you should confirm by contacting the university you plan to attend to complete your Masters.

Thanks for the reply. That means I should once again apply for my master degree and have to study 2 years for its completion?

It depends on the Masters program. Some Masters are only 1 year. Again, you need to contact the university you want to attend and ask them these questions. They are the only ones that can provide you the accurate answer.

Thanks for your fruitful advice. And if I did 1 year PG + 1 year M. Eng back to back, What are the chances of getting a 3 year post grad work permit? Suggestions are warmly welcomed..

Hey ish
I m going to conestoga college for construction project management one year pg and got visa. I also want to do master like u in same field.

Thanks Bro for sharing your info here. But I heard that Canadian employers wont valued much the PG Course over a master degree course and moreover requires canadian work experience. In addition, the important thing is the 3 year PG work permit and the pilot program for PR after having master degree. My Bro in USA also insisted me to go for a degree program rather than a certificate one. I am in dilemma. I am applying through Canam Consultant here and they are insisting me to apply to the college. What to do I cant decide??????? :(

Lakesh Bro would you share me the info for the visa docs and about the funds you approach during your visa application please.....

Its better to do masters rather than pgdip since you will be spending so much money either ways!

Master's is surely preferred to pgdm.... Dnt listen to ur consultants coz they get paid by the colleges for getting an admission... If u are sure u hav the credentials to get into a univ go for it... If no try applying for both col and univ... Later if u secure one in univ stick to it or proceed with a college

going through same problem.. due to low percentage 64% i applied for pg dip in pratical elements of mechanical engg (1 year). i pply through canam consulant amritsar.. but i also applied for M Engg. if i got admission in master then i chnage my course after completion of my pg dip...
