creating an online account query

Hi, all

I am wondering if someone would be able to clarify how to create and link the online accounts of sponsor and principal applicant?

It would seem we need to wait for the AOR1, as it is a paper application. We are assuming, based on the averages, that we won't get AOR1 until late August 2020 at the earliest.

We are July 2020 *outland* family sponsorship (spouse), with Canadian citizen also abroad (UK).

It takes 4-12 weeks to gear back from sending the application without covid. Not sure if there is a delay but i really would wait considering we are still in july. If nothing (aor or returned app) by october i would call

I understand that it will take time to get the AOR1, especially with COVID-19.

Just wondering when and how to do the online accounts part and do the linking between sponsor and principal applicant. That's the part that is confusing me, if that makes sense. It seems online account(s) creation cannot be done until getting AOR1, however it is done.

Hope someone is able to explain that part of the process. )
