COVID19: Visitor record extension (new issued visit record valid till July 31)

I have visitor visa and I must leave before the middle of March.

Then I applied visitor record at the middle of February under this policy:

The visitor record was issued yesterday which indicates it is valid till July 31.

That means I must go outside from Canada before July 31.

Yet the COVID-19 is severe now and the flight between Canada and China is extremely uncertain.

Can I apply for the visit record again and stay longer in Canada?

Hello Scylla,

Please could you tell me if the process is the same for applying for a second visitor record as it was the first time around, or if there is anything different I need to do? My first visitor record was approved because I am waiting for my PR application (Express Entry, PNP Inland, AOR May 5). Unsurprisingly, I'm still waiting, and the visitor record expires at the beginning of November.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
