Cover Letter to submit additional documents

I was able to get latest reference letter from my employer for PR, initially they refused. I have to submit these document with cover letter. My question is do I have to specify file number and UCI in cover letter or not?

If you've already received your AOR then email the coverletter and a scan of the reference letter to CIC.
Since CIC only required a copy of the reference letter you don't need to mail it.
And yes, mention your file number, uci, dob and name in the letter so CIC can add it to your file.

Did they asked you for one ? if not then why you are providing one
I dont think they consider updated reference letters but nothing wrong in sending one.
