hi all,

while preparing/sending your application to CIO, is it a good idea to write a main cover letter and prepare section separators/headers (e.g. proof of funds) giving details on the respective section to provide clarity for the ease of assessment officer?

regards.

I'd recommend it. Precisely that is the reason I had when I submitted my application package to CIO. I also used section separators, following the items in the checklist, and in those section separators I indicated what is included in the section (i.e. document title, document type etc., and what were the purpose of those documents - as part of supporting documents or in support of proof of funds requirement etc.).

Another reason is to clearly highlight and divert the attention of those checking the package for completeness to where the requirements are and what supporting documents are included in the package.

Think of it as submitting a paper - you always need a table of contents, and abstract and a preface to the sections to show what is inside right? Also in transmitting documents between destinations - there is a transmittal letter that included always summarizing what is included in the package.

Create the cover letter/transmittal letter after you have completed the package, and then use it to identify what is included in your submission. This also becomes your post-check before sending the package out.

.../hope this helps...

when u say section separators, does that mean after every section will have a paper on top explaining the contents of that section

example

Proof of Language Proficiency (This will be heading on peice of papar)
and then below this paper will be the original IELTS result scorecard,
Work Experience (This will be heading on piece of paper
and then below this paper we will enclose our payslips + employment reference letters etc etc

and so on and so forth

So am i correct with what I have mentioned above?

I did the same. I have used separators for Clarity. Even if I was not filling out a form, which was not applicable, I still used the separators.
