Please if someone can share format of cover letter and intinery. And how legnthy they can be
As lengthy as needed. Please do not be redundant, also do not write the story of your life, CIC is not interested.

For templates google them, there are plenty in the web.

For your itinerary, it depends on how long you are wanting to be in Canada. For example, if you are seeking entry for a few months I would try to make an itinerary that has maybe 2 events per week, like "Visiting grandma Dora in Calgary" or "Weekend trip to Niagara Falls".. things like that.
If you are coming for less than a month, I would say try to make it as detailed as possible, as in write something for everyday that you are here, even if it's just "Spending time with family at home".

When we applied for ours, we asked for the whole 6 months. We had about 30 items on our itinerary of things we wanted to do or see.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
