Cousin visitor visa

Hi ,
I am seeking your advice regarding my following case:
My wife and I have 6 month old son. My wife is studying and preparing for dentistry exams. She recently had back issues so her family doctor prescribed physiotherapy for her. My wife would like her cousin (female) to come and visit her for 3 months to help her and take care of the baby . We have no family members here in Canada.
We have three options to invite my wife's cousin but we are not sure which option should be the strongest to get her the visitor visa. So please advise:
Option#1: ask the family doctor to give us a letter that my wife needs support and we need a family member to help my wife with babysitting . We are not sure if this is convincing or cic will not consider this since babysitters can be obtained from inside canada.
Option#2: invite my wife cousin as a tourist visitor to visit my wife and see our son
Option#3: to invite my wife cousin as a helper who is going to take care of the baby while my wife is preparing for the exams since I am a full time employee .
My wife cousin is an employee back home and have strong ties Bach home to convince the officer that she will return home after the visit .
Please help us to what will be the best option to go with .

I would say that both options #1 and #3 are bad ideas since CIC may interpret this as the cousin doing work in Canada illegally.

If you want the cousin to come to Canada legally as a helper, then you would need to hire her through the LCP program which involves months of waiting and requires you to meet income and other requirements. If you want her to come to Canada on a visitor visa, then don't mention anything related to work.

Hi,

A visitor visa is primarily for tourism and meeting family/friends. Babysitting is considered to be a job, and a baby sitter is considered to be working whether the person is getting paid for it or not. This means your wife's cousin would be working on a visitor visa which is not allowed.

Your wife's cousin might also find it difficult to convince the VO that she has strong employment ties in her country of residence if she takes three months off work..... unless the nature of her job allows her to do so.

Also your wife's cousin cannot apply for a TRV as a helper. Helpers who apply for TRVs are generally those applicants who are accompanying or joining their employers.... documentation in this case includes submitting an employment contract..... in such cases, the employer must be visiting Canada (and not residing in Canada), among other requirements

Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate it! I have not thought about that .. Even though the cousin is not going to be paid . She is just offering to help and see my wife . Btw, the cousin raised my wife when she was young . So she is considered as my wife's mom .
I will take your advice and ask her to apply as a tourist visitor to see my wife (which is correct )
