I'm from Sri Lanka and my husband is a Canadian who has submitted the PR application and it is currently being processed in Sri Lanka.
We got married last February and he had to fly back to Canada in march due to work commitments. My Son is 10 years old - from my previous marriage. The PR application is for both me and my son. When the PR application was submitted we included all documents - inclusive of the letter signed by my ex-husband providing full custody of my son to me and providing consent for us to migrate.
I just got an email yesterday from the embassy to submit the legal court order of my full custody of my son with 30 days or my visa application could get rejected. Now my previous marriage happened according to the musliml law and so was the divorce. In the muslim quasi court it was verbally stated that my son remains with me and the father can visit him. But there was no document given to me stating this. The divorce certificate does not list this. I appealed to the muslim court judge to provide the documentation and he said a letter will be provided.
Will this suffice? I'm very much stressed about this and so is the entire family. We sent over 8 months getting all documentation ready and submitted the PR application.
