Dear respected members,

My wife is looking for a Dental Science such as, Dental Therapist, Dental Technology, Dental Assitant Course or a similar course in Canada that can lead us to a PR.

Would anyone kindly help us suggesting courses or states that would be favorable to us? Someone told us Quebec has some special consideration for students residing there & get some extra points?

Is this true? Or which else State we should look upon.

Thanks in advance. We really need this info ASAP.

Kind regards,

Z

Hi Scylla. No, we never studied French! Does it matter? i heard the classes are still run in English as per few people recommended Quebec.

Would you like to suggest some?

But Quebec is a French province and french is something you need to run your daily life even when you apply for visa Québec has special set of rules.....

Yeah they do... But i also heard they had locations where it's usually English speakers live.

Which else state would you recommend for a study purpose that will help to attain PR in the end, OTHER THAN ONTARIO!

Contrary to popular belief, there are large parts of Montreal where English is primarily used and one need not know French. Also, many programs are offered in French too.

However, when it comes to applying for PR, you only benefit from Quebec's PR process if you are fluent in french. Unless you apply for Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW), but that is a mess on it's own (check out the Quebec Immigration section of this forum for details).

Speaking from a personal experience, life in Quebec is so much more enjoyable if you do invest time and effort in learning French.

That being said, if learning french is not something that interests you, you could look at options in Alberta/Sask/Manitoba/Nova Scotia because there is a shortage of medical professionals across Canada and not just Quebec
