Hello everyone,

I have lived in BC for more than five(5) years but still haven't applied for citizenship yet.
I have owned property here that was rented out but due to some problems I have not been able to return damage deposit back for atleast 3 months now to my ex tenants.
I have tried to contact those tenants but am not able to get a hold of them.
If they decide to go to RTB and file for dispute, will this create any leagal problems for my citizenship application process.

any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you very much.

I really doubt it. All you have now is a potential dispute. I believe CIC looks for actual criminal convictions.

No, that does not effect your citizenship file. Only criminal record charge filed by RCMP matters.. Any civil disputes/verdicts does not goes to RCMP system..
