Could someone help me with the photo and police clearance for the study permit ?

First of all, I would like to ask about the police clearance certificate. Lots of people here are saying that it is required, however, it is not shown in the document checklist when I apply for the permit. do they ask for it later in time? or is there something I am not seeing correctly?

The second thing is the digital photo. Now before you tell me to go to a professional photographer, believe me, I would have gone but all stores and studios are closed where I live due to the curfew here.

So, long story short, I have taken my image with a professional camera at home, and with the help of someone online got it done. Despite putting the image at the dimensions of 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm it is still a large image (but the aspect ratio is correct). And the head size which is supposed to be 31 mm to 36 mm is way taller. I don’t know if my pic is ok to be uploaded for the application. But I will put it here so you can review it.

Hi. I am not a professional in this matter but I have also done the same at my home with my tablet pc. I think the upper side of your photo should be little bit higher from your top head and the lower side should the bottom last edge of your throat (as per photo specifications of IRCC). And you should leave equal space in both, right and left, side keeping your face in the middle. Also check that dimensions should be 420 pixels×540 pixels. I hope it helps and IRCC also knows that people are at lockdown, so they won't be that much strict.

Yes it is 420 pixels x 540 pixels. The editing was done by a professional on reddit. He sent me this one and told it’s ready to be submitted but the problem is that the face size isn’t 31-36 mm to achieve that the photo needs to be really small. I think this should be it when it is printed not viewed digitally.

for the police clearance, check the visa instructions checklist for your country. If it is listed there then you have to submit.
