Hello I'm an American Citizen and my wife is a Canadian citizen. We were married January 2012 in California. I'm moving to Canada and she is sponsoring me under Family class sponsorship. The prices I've seen thus far are very vague. We have no children and are doing this without a representative. What would it cost for:

Document Checklist [IMM 5443]
Document Checklist [IMM 5491]
Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344)
Sponsorship Evaluation [IMM 5481]
Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]
Additional Family Information [IMM 5406]
Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669]
Spouse/Common-law Partner Questionnaire [IMM 5285]
Sponsor Questionnaire [IMM 5540]
Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire [IMM 5490]

I read something that said 75$ per form and then a 550$ for something and a 490$ for something. Not even sure if we are filing the correct forms. Thanks a bunch

ON 24-04-2013. Yeah!
It is the 550 and the 490 for a total of 1040. That is what paid under the same circumstances.
I'm not sure what you mean about the $75.00 per form, but 1040 is right.

Fee for Spouse Sponsorship = 490+550 = $ 1040

Are the forms I linked the correct ones for the process? Not sure if there's too many or not enough. 2 doc checklists kinda seemed weird but I got my info from these two sites:

cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Thanks for the quick response :D

Don't forget that you will also have to factor in the other unavoidable costs when working out your budget for this exercise.

While you don't pay for them via the "fee" web site, you will have to add in the Medical, FBI/PCC and any notarizing costs. You are looking at about another $500 for this work.

This will vary from country to country.
However, a good start might be photo copies of

Birth Certificate
Passport
Proofs of relationship such as jointly owned property/bank accounts records
School Certificates

I suggest that for items of value, you would not be sending the originals.
