Correct NOC Code Help !

Hi All,

I am a PhD from a Canadian Institute and am have 2 years of work experience in India. I am applying under the Express Entry. I am having a hard time figure out the correct NOC code for my work experience.

My Designation was Electrical Engineer. I got a letter from the employer stating my actual job profile

"His responsibilities included management of electrical component records in the engineering management system and assessment of compliance to environmental directives such as RoHS and WEEE"

Would this suffice ?

Your job duties should match whichever designation you are going for. If am not wrong then 65-70% matching of job duties

I appreciate your help. Since I submitted my application 3 years back with NOC Code 2133 and they rejected. I think 2148 or 0211 makes sense but they also mention that PEng may be needed but we dont have anything of that sort in India and supervisory experience is required...Would that require any thing more in the letter.

Hi,

You can write to National Occupational Classification (NOC) Team at NC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca to ask them what would they recommend as NOC for your job duties.

I wrote to them this summer to check my NOC and they were really helpful.

Please note that they only provide advice and cannot guarantee that CIC will treat the job duites as what they described, but I believe that they can give you good advice.

This is what they wrote at the end of the mail: "In addition, please note that the final decision for selecting the most appropriate National Occupational Classification (NOC) code is each individual's responsibility as you know your education, skills and abilities better than anyone else. However, the ultimate decision remains the responsibility of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as they are the only ones who have the authority to determine if the information provided meets their criteria. Our role is only to provide guidance."
