Hi all

I'm looking for as much advice as possible please regarding the correct NOC to choose for FSW ITA.

Bit of a strange one as my job title/industry/department overlaps between NOCs I've looked at and not clear what it could be and don't want to be rejected because of it. Degree: Business Information Technology,
Job Title: Portfolio Analyst, company in utilities industry, department was Information Systems.

At first by default I was thinking 2171 (IS Analyst & Consultant), however having read countless other threads there are suggestions of 1221 (admin officer) or even 1112 (finance analyst). Could someone please confirm what criteria decides the correct NOC, is it the industry, department, or generic duties only? The duties weren't specifically technical however as it was in the IS department with IS projects, my gut instinct leans towards 2171. Any opinions would greatly be appreciated please!

Duties as follows:
  • Maintaining Information Systems (IS) Portfolio of Business Change projects and programmes. Project Management Office role to approx. 40-50 technology projects and programmes. Responsible for overseeing IS Governance and controls, assurance and ensuring projects were fully compliant and delivered in-line with methodology frameworks. Managing the process of submission, review, change control and approval of the IS portfolio
  • Monthly project performance tracking – capturing, analysing and recording IS portfolio data through PPM tool (MS Excel). Supported the Strategy & Planning Manager / IS Portfolio Manager in collating and producing management information and KPI's to assist in the management and co-ordination of the UK Power Networks IS project portfolio.
  • Refreshed tool-set for project delivery community including; requirements gathering, quality assurance, RAID log, lessons learned, investments/business cases, benefits
  • Refreshed and supported the redesign of the IS Business Change methodology life-cycle to improve service delivery. Liaising with all functions within IS including; IS project managers, business analysts, IS security, commercial, technology operations, and technology consultants
  • Centre of excellence/consulting role, providing information and knowledge management support and embedding best practice to IT project managers i.e. provision of templates, deliverable support
  • Junior PM/ Project co-ordinator role of companywide technology project, Follow-You-Printing – a pull printing and secure document release solution. Analysing requirements, stakeholder and 3rd party management, strong communication and a technical nous
  • Supporting the strategic planning activities of project pipeline for business change and IS initiatives. Covering aspects such as gathering requirements from wider business, resource planning (supply/demand), annual forecasts/budgets, prioritisation, and forward view of key projects/programmes
  • Scrutinising and implementing controls over IS Capex/Opex financials. Reconciling and reporting to senior management.
  • Key support for the resource management process for temporary technology resources including project and programme managers, business analysts, and test managers. Reviewing CVs, conducting interviews, engaging with 3rd party suppliers, maintaining resource data
  • IS risk management activities. Maintaining high-level RAID logs and escalating/following up actions with risk owners and relevant stakeholders. Also assessing impact and following up mitigating
  • Championing the rollout of content management IT system Alfresco. Administering repository library structure and assisting in the mobilising of collaboration sites - allowing project teams to manage their project outputs and deliverables

Thanks all in advance!
