I have completed my Bachelors degree in 2002..
After which I have 8 years of work experience(from 2002 to 2010) in Pharma Industry till 2010.
From 2010 to 2012, I completed my fulltime Masters degree in India.
2012 till date..I have continued my work..
My age is 34 & I am planning to study & work in Canada..
The programs that I have chosen are more work oriented and related to my current work and education.
Unfortunately these programs are being offered on PG Diploma level and I tried searching everywhere in Canada but I found none being offered on Masters level.
The colleges which are offering these programs are in the list of participating institutions.
The dilemma is that, I already have an Masters degree & I am applying for a diploma program..so now would my visa be rejected, if colleges accept my application.
Since I have huge gap between my Bachelor's and my Master's..what happens if I hide my Masters degree and tell them(visa officer & uni) that I have worked from 2002 till date..instead. Will it be recorded anywhere.
I intend to show my Masters degree later to my employer in Canada after completion of my program..But can this be possible or am I going to trap myself anywhere..??

I don't intend to do all this as it's like a burden on my heart.
But I feel helpless in my case..
I don't wish to go ahead with the FSW.

Correct guidance appreciated..

Hi,

1. Show your Masters and work experience.

2. Apply for PhD or advanced Diploma.

3. If possible, get a letter from present employer stating that you'll re join after completion of studies in Canada. [increases visa chances]

4. If you're married and have children, then mention in SOP that you have to come back to support children and wife. [increases visa chances]

Good Luck.

Thanks for your reply Aman..

I can definitely try to get an letter from my employer.
I have second thoughts about my Phd..Or I could say..may be after 3 years from now.
One more thing..(just a thought)
I am having a 2 year Masters program on my mind which is of Science background offered by Canadian colleges. It is not totally related to my previous education or work experience.. but I can say that the curriculum of the program has some of the subjects of my interest.

Unfortunately I have not come across any 2 year Masters program which has subjects of my interest.
Either they are totally off the track Or the programs are similar to a lesser extent.

So do I have a choice of taking a 2 year Masters program which is not closely related to my previous field of education and work. Or is it mandatory that the program I would take should be related to my previous field of education and work. Would this affect me finding a job in Canada after completion of the program..as I have around 8+ years of work experience in this field and don't intend to change it at a later stage. I would still want to work in my current field after completion of the program.

Do let me know your say on this..

Thanks.
