That's awesome Jojo66. Not sure why people are getting PPR then having to wait for COPR as when we filed out the application, it said to send a copy of her passport in the beginning. We did and so we went right from SA to COPR. :)

Yea, my wife is wondering why they request PP (bio-page only) when we sent copies of every page with the original app.

It does seem strange eh? I noticed that a lot when I was following these posts months ago and was assuming we would be asked to re-send a copy of my wife's. Glad we were fortunate enough to skip that part.

I THINK that can sometimes be the case if the passport does not reflect the new married name, a kind of just in case measure to ensure you didn't have it changed during the process and forget to update the information. Would suck to get your COPR and have it in the wrong name and have to be sent back, don't you think? ;)

If it was already in the married name, it could just be a function of what each individual officers chooses to do. We filed an Inland application and I was not requested to send in my bio page from my passport before getting a landing date, however there were others on the same thread that were requested to re-send in their bio page from passport to finalize and be issued a DM and landing date. *shrugs*

Either way, it suggests that you are in fact at the end stages and is a happy occasion :D

Happy occasion indeed Alurra71, we are enjoying a bottle of champagne as we speak. As for PPR, funny you should mention married name, my wife's passport was still in her maiden name before we sent our application and we made the decision to get it changed to her married name before we sent in our application. That meant waiting for the new passport to get here and delayed the sending of the application but it seems now that maybe it was well worth it. :)

Neither my husband or I drink, but we both LOVE good food, so we went out and celebrated with a fantastic meal! I don't even know quite how to pronounce the name of the place he took me, we haven't been back since, it is rather extravagant and not really our style, but it was good food for sure! :D Enjoy your celebration as you step into your new life! It is harrowing at times but oh so worth it all!

Thank you for the well wishes Alurra71 and all the best to you two as well! As you probably know, the food in Canada is unbelievably great ( not to mention the beer) :) I know you don't drink but cheers from us and have a happy life!
