COPR, valid work permit

I have COPR (still waiting for the PR card) and a work permit valid until April 2023. Due to family circumstances, I need to travel to India in may-4 and I am afraid that before my departure I will not have the PR card. Is it Ok to travel on a work permit? please suggest.

You can certainly leave Canada. However you'll need to have either your PR card or a PRTD to return to Canada. If you hold a valid US visa, then another option is to fly to the US and then reenter Canada through a land border.

By the way, there is another issue that actually you can’t travel with work permit whether you wait for pr card or not.
You can work and stay in Canada with work permit but to enter Canada you need visa.
Last year I have a valid work permit for more than a year but since my TRV had expired, I couldn’t leave the country last summer.
I applied trv last year in May and I got it after 7.5months.
