COPR Passport Submission from USA to Ottawa office

Hey Everyone,

I am an Indian residing in the United States. I received a COPR email asking me to submit my passport to the Ottawa offie (CPCO – PR VISA,US Permanent /Temporary, Residence VISA/Passports, 365 Laurier Av. West, Ottawa ON, K1A 1L1).

Some of my friends in U.S were asked to submit their passport to the New York office (Visa Application Centre – New York, 145 West 45th Street, 4th floor, New York NY 10036). So was wondering if they recently changed the process and started asking U.S resident applicants to submit passports to Ottawa and not New York.

Has any one from U.S sent their passport to the Ottawa office recently? If yes, then how long did it take?

They did not change the process. Both Ottawa office and NY office process PPRs. You should just send the passport to where they want you to send the passport to. The whole process takes about a month.

No, but I've seen both. Completely normal.

I have sent my Passport to CPC-Ottawa. Received by J.Joe on 01/18/2024 so now will it take 3-4 weeks to get an update???

Other than delivery I do not have any update as of 1/23/2024.
