COPR letter recieved- now need confirmes- Help

Hello,
My wife received her COPR letter the other day and now she needs to get it confirmed/stamped. The option that I thought of is going to the border and seeing an officer.2. Flying to Cuba for vacation and return.3. Go back home(Poland) and return. All of these are viable options in my opinion but the only thing is that her visa has expired.

She is officially legal, can they refuse her or deport her at the border? Which ever option we chose. Thanks

The COPR has a date by which she must land to become a permanent resident. She can travel and land on her way back to Canada. But she has to do it before the COPR expires. If your wife is in Canada, she can book an appointment through the CIC call centre and do the landing procedures inside a local CIC office.

I'm trying to understand what you mean when you say her "visa is expired" but she is "officially legal". Unless her Polish passport is pre-2007 and non-biometric, she wouldn't have or need a visitor visa; do you mean that her visitor status has expired and she is currently in Canada illegally but will be "officially legal" when she presents herself at the border with the COPR?

If she is currently illegal, they will not take any action against her when she lands as a PR, whichever way you choose to go. It is not advisable to be out of status but they will not refuse to land her as a PR because of it.
