COPR issued but nothing inside passport?

I just retrieved my passport from the visa center after PPR email and submission. It came with two copies of the COPR and an explanation letter, but I was surprised to find that there was no stamp or sticker inside my passport itself. Is that normal?

Also, I originally intended to land in Ontario but have changed plans and will be landing in BC. Am I allowed to do that, even though my COPR states that I plan to land in Ontario?

If you're from a visa exempt country then nothing would be stamped in your passport.
