Copr expiry extension

Hello respected members I want to ask if due to some unavoidable personal reasons someone not able land in canada and copr expire what is chance of extension and for how long we can get extension in copr ?
2. Is it necessary for both primary and secondary applicant to stay in canada to fulfill requirement of 2 year out of 5 year ?

1) This means you would need to reapply again for PR from scratch.
2) Yes, both must meet the residency obligation individually in order for each to be able to retain PR status.
