COPR Error

Ok, got my COPR in the mail today, Yay!!! However, it was not updated to reflect my name change and new passport, which I had notified them that it was changed prior to issuance. But I explained the situation to the lady at the call center I spoke to a few days ago and she said I had to send a form to amend it as I couldn't use my old passport to land and the two names must match. Has anyone else had to do this ( or amend it for any other reason)? How long did it take. I'm so close!!! I would like to land soon.

I have a similar issue like you. I had an error in my marriage status. It was single but I am married and already updated them before the visa issue. I emailed them and they advised me to send back CopR with passport. I sent back CoPR and Passport yesterday. I wanted to know, how long it took for your case to get passport and CoPR back? I have a prearranged travel in the next month and I am waiting for the passport to be back soon. Please share your time line. I highly appreciate your time in replying this. Thanks a lot.

It didn't take long. I landed on the 5th of February.

Hi Blueangel371115!

I sent information to the CIC regarding my name change on 8/25/15 and on 8/26/15 they issued and sent my CoPR in the mail. I have not yet received my CoPR in the mail.

Today they sent me an email stating that they had sent my CoPR in the mail and gave me instructions to send it back when I receive it. My husband and I were hoping to move me to Canada in about two weeks.

-Roughly how long did it take them to amend your CoPR?
-Did you have any complications landing?
-Do you have any advice or suggestions for me?

Hello. When you sent your documents did the status on CIC account change- to in progress? Is the whole procedure tedious? Thanks

Hello. When you sent your copr and documents back for correction, did your cic account change to “in progress”? I was at VAC when i found the error, told them and they kept it. Now the change in CIC account is really making me anxious. Help pls

since 2015 much has changed
I don`t sure that they had gckey oor ecas...and if they had, it could change (in internet many sreens with various differences with the present embodiment gckey 2020)
