Convert Work Permit to PR

Hello all,

My wife and I are currently on a work permit in Canada. We have NOT worked one (1) full year yet but we are considering obtaining the PR. What are our options?
1. How can we leverage the fact that we both have jobs
2. We have a SIN
3. Drivers license
4. IELTS done
5. Medicals and Background checks were done and completed for the work permit - can it be transferred for PR?

Please advice.

What is your jobs?

You have to at least worked 1 full year so you can apply for PR and then you can apply for the PR routes like PNP, CEC or EE. You cannot transfer your medical and background checks for PR. Once you apply for PR, CIC will request MR and conduct background checks on the both of you. Processing time currently for PR is 18 months.

We both work in Financial Institutions as Investment and Insurance specialists respectively....Why 18 Months when EE is 6-10 months?
 
Oh thanks...So there's little or no advantage of our current employment and status when applying for EE?
 
please guide me, I m working in tanzania from 2013 in work permit i want to work n move with family in Canda so please guide me what is the easiest way to work & get PR in Canada?

I m basically from India & i have Indian Passport.

if i apply visitor Visa and come to Canada than my Visa will convert in Work Visa?

It's next to impossible to convert a visitor visa to a work permit. It's extremely difficult to find employers who are willing to hire a foreign worker.

If you want to move to Canada, you should focus on applying for permanent residency instead.
