Convert Study permit to Open Work permit (While on study permit)

Hello,
I am currently following full time studies under study permit and my spouse is working under open work permit.
My spouse got an opportunity to start a full time studies and now shes in process of getting a study permit ,
At the moment I am unable to finish my studies due to some reasons and just want to know whether i am eligible to apply for a open work permit after my spouse get a study permit ?

You can apply but SOWP are not guaranteed for spouses of international students.
