Hi,

Me and my wife were living separately and the same was duly informed to CIC for our PR application under PNP , based on which her status was changed to non-accompanying spouse (as she was dependent on file). Can she be converted back to accompanying spouse?

Or can she go apply for a separate PR application? We have already submitted her police clearance and medicals, does she need to go thru the whole process again?

Regards

You can change her back to accompanying. Just contact the visa office, tell them you are back together and you want to change again.

Would that mean, that I have to sponsor her or it again continues under economic class with the current in-process application?

As long as you have not received your visa yet, you simply add her again. If you have already received your visa, it would be up to the visa office if they allow it. If you have already landed on your PR visa, your application would be closed and it would be too late to add but you could sponsor.

Hello,

What I wanted to do was to let CIC know that we are living seperately, but my language of letter to convert my wife from accompanying spouse to non-accompanying spouse I believe is WRONG, as I do not mind her getting the PR. Intention behind the letter was to honestly let CIC know that we are living seperately to avoid any future complications.

I am not sure if we are getting back together, the only thing is that we are not living together.

Can I request CIC to ignore my previous letter and let the application continue in its original form?

Regards

You can try but I do not know that they will add her again if you state that you are still separated and not likely to reconcile.

At this moment I am not sure if we will reconcile or not. It seems that I have screwed things up for myself.

All I want is that application can continue in its original form, however with CIC truthfully knowing that we are living seperately. I do not mind her getting the PR.

What would be the best way to do that ? Really need a help here.

Regards

Send them a letter stating that you want to change your wife's status to accompanying again without commenting on if you are reconciling or not. Either they do or they don't.

Ok... I got another question. Please help.

We are planning that she will initiate her separate process for PR.. can that be applied right away or we need to wait for current application to complete?

Regards

It is not forbidden to have more than one application going so she can apply now. She would need to include you on her application, either as accompanying or not accompanying.

Hi... require another clarification... after what I mentioned in prev posts, I submitted the RPRF for both of us and now I have received a email to request for passport. Not sure whether I should send both mine and my spouse's passport as CIC doesn't mention anything about status of spouse. Any idea?

Just a wild guess, in case they would have already changed the status of spouse, RPRF should have been returned or it will be returned afterwards if status has been changed?

Send both along with another letter stating that as you have added your spouse again as accompanying, you are sending both your passports. Then see what happens.
