Conventional refugee with work permit—questions about studying part-time

Hi everyone,

I’m a conventional refugee (I’ve applied for PR) and currently have a valid work permit. I’ll be starting university this fall, but I probably won’t be a full-time student.

I’m a bit confused about my situation and hoping someone here might have some insight:

• Do I need to apply for a study permit even though I’m not an international student?
• Since I already have a work permit, can I continue working 40 hours a week (full-time) while studying part-time?

Most of the information I’ve found only applies to international students, so it’s been hard to find clear answers for my case. I’d really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks in advance!

You need to apply for study permit and yes you can work full time since you have a full time wp.
